First ISHS International Humulus
Symposium
1 - 7 August 2004, Corvallis, Oregon
INVITATION
The Organizing Committee has the great pleasure of
inviting you to participate in the 1st International Society
for Horticultural Science (ISHS) International Humulus
Symposium in Corvallis, Oregon, a focus on hop research
activities in the Pacific Northwestern United States. The
symposium is sponsored by the ISHS Commission on Plant
Genetic Resources and Section: Medicinal and Aromatic
Plants. The Symposium will be held at the Oregon State
University's LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis, Oregon,
from 1 - 7 August, 2004. The symposium will be held in
conjunction with the Hop Research Council Annual
Meeting.
With the excellent support of the hop industry and grower
community we have planned a stimulating event. The Symposium
will provide numerous opportunities for participants to
share up-to-date information and research on Humulus. It
will be a great chance for everyone to get acquainted with
international colleagues and discuss the latest information.
The Symposium will be occurring prior to harvest season so
the Post-symposium tour will have ample opportunity to
observe Pacific Northwestern production practices. We look
forward to seeing you in Corvallis in August 2004.
Kim E. Hummer and John Henning, Co-Conveners.
