Comments:
  • Bentham (in Scroph. Ind. 25. 1835 and in Wallich, Numer. List 137. 1831) appears to have been the first to correct Blume's spelling, and this correction has been universally adopted
  • although many authors cite Hottonia sessiliflora Vahl as a basionym, no connection can be made between Blume's and Vahl's names
